FERRAN PAREDES RUBIO

Site Description

Born in Barcelona in 1975, Ferran Paredes Rubio graduated in photography at I.E.F.C. (Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya) and started to work as a press photographer for many spanish newspapers such as ‘La Vanguardia’ and ‘El Pais’.

In 1998 moved to London, where he worked as a staff photographer for REUTERS News Agency.

In 2003 decided to study cinematography and moved to Rome, where he graduated as a cinematographer from the course led by Giuseppe Rotunno (ASC. AIC) at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Italian prestigious National Film School .

He has attended many cinematography workshops held by acclaimed cinematographers such as Roger Deakins (A.S.C., B.S.C), Dante Spinotti (A.S.C., A.I.C) and Bruno Delbonnel (A.S.C., A.F.C).

In 2011 won Best Cinematography at the Maverick Movie Awards of Hollywood for his work in ‘Hayfever’ (Febbre da Fieno) directed by Laura Luchetti.
